Here's a communication concept I learned from my friend and fellow professional speaker, Shelle Rose Charvet.
You and I take a risk when attempting to influence someone who has a big ego. If we simply present our ideas, products, or services in the form of new information they may not know there's a good chance that the other person may resist. Not because of the idea; but because their ego may somehow feel threatened. And easy way to avoid this is to begin with conversation with, "You are the expert on such and such. What I bring is..." Expressing your respect for the other person's expertise makes them more receptive to yours.
Today's chuckle:
If you ate pasta and antipasta, would you still be hungry?
