Ever noticed how a little adjustment in your words can create a big difference in customer perception? For example, notice the difference when instead of using the word 'help', you use the word 'helpful'. So, rather than saying... I hope that helps, instead say... "I hope that's helpful. Rather than asking, "Would it help if I..." Instead ask, "Would it be helpful if I..." The word help is a verb that describes a particular ACTION. Helpful on the other hand, is an adjective that describes the PERSON. The next time the customer needs a service, they may not need the same ACTION as last time. However, they do want to return to the PERSON who they consider to be helpful. Was this helpful?
